ingredients:
375g(13oz / 3cups) plain flour
170g(6oz / 3/4cup) caster sugar
3eggs
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
a pinch of salt
150g(5 1/2oz) almonds
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit)
Line baking tray with baking paper
Sift the flour into a large bowl
Add the sugar, eggs, baking power and a pinch of salt
Mix them
Process until you don't see the flour
Knead in the almonds
Have a smooth dough
Divide the dough into two pieces
Form them
Put on the baking tray and press down gently along the top to flatten slightly
Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden.
Remove them from the oven and leave to cool slightly while you turn the temperature down to 170 degree Celsius (325 degree Fahrenheit)
Cut each one into 1 cm (1/2 in ) thick slices.
Place on the baking tray and return to the oven for 15 minutes, or until the biscuits start to brown and are dry to the touch.
Store in an airtight container.
